Ellie and Steve Married each other on the 4th August 2014 at The Lavender House Hotel.
Steve is a friend from my photography degree days. The fact that he now teaches A level photography meant that I felt flattered when he booked me to capture his wedding.
What an amazing, heartfelt and rocking wedding this was…
The Groom and his men made an entrance to Boys are back in town by Thin Lizzy. The handwritten vows were both very sweet with a touch of humour. Ellie and Steve's children where an absolute delight and the speeches had me in stitches and in tears. Luckily I was able to hide behind the camera and keep pretending to be all manly whilst tears trickled down my face. Having shared a similar taste in music and gone to punk gigs with Steve in our past I knew the music was going to be different to your average wedding playlist, but also great! It didn’t disappoint with a great blend of reggae, ska and classic rock (leaving out some of the more crazy stuff we saw live together years before) followed by live music from the wonderful Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs.
It was an absolute honour to be at this wedding and so rewarding to have been able to provide an old friend and his beautiful family with everlasting photographic memories.
Oh and the food was amazing too!
