A look back... Gemma & Jordan's wedding at The Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth.

Gemma, smiling, looking at the view out of the window at the greenbank hotel in falmouth.

Wow, What a beautiful, relaxed, Family wedding at The Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth. I absolutely loved working at this stunning, waters edge venue!

Gemma and Jordan are adorable together and It was an honour to have the best seat (well, place to stand) to witness them tying the knot.

There were lots of perfect little personal touches that Gemma and Jordan had put so much thought into. From the men's socks to the hand made paper pom-pom's to the sweet table (Including sweetie trees and custom printed bags) yum yum! I also think that if I was a girl, I would LOVE Gemma's shoes (gold, glittery and shiny) However I'm not a girl, but I must admit I did LOVE Jordan's shoes (as they are quite similar to mine, he he)

One of the many, many things that completely melted my heart at this wedding was seeing Gemma's Grandma. She had beautifully decorated her walking sticks for the special occasion (you will see below how lovely she looked and how happy she was)

I hope these photographs make you smile :) I would be absolutely delighted if you enjoy viewing them even a little fraction of the amount that I did capturing them. xxx

It was so nice to catch up with both Gemma and Jordan recently to help put this "A Look Back" post together.

Gemma, Shall we talk about your wedding day?...

What wedding venue did you choose and why?

The Greenbank Hotel in Falmouth, being Cornish, one of our top priorities was being by the sea and enjoying a cream tea. The Greenbank were extremely helpful to organise our afternoon tea exactly how we wanted it, even though it was outside of their usual wedding packages. It also had it's own pier which made it extra special!

The Inspiration behind your wedding

The theme we went with was pastels, pale pinks, blue, lilacs and yellows. It had always been a dream of mine to have the same theme as my Nan, when she was married over 50 years ago she had each bridesmaid in a different pastel. I also used the same veil she had which has been preserved perfectly.

Favourite memories and moments of the day?

It was great seeing everything come together and the reassurance that it was all going to run smoothly. There is no test run after all! But the best moment was being alone, stealing a few moments together and letting it all sink in.

What advice would you like to give to couples about planning the day and any advice about the day itself?

To stick to what YOU want and not what suppliers want to give you, your the one paying after all. And not to stress about the day, just enjoy it.

What special details did you include in your wedding?

I used items from my family, such as the veil, which was my Nan's and my dress hoop that belongs to my Grandma, it made me feel like the day was more personalised.

What resources did you use to find the perfect vendors and suppliers?

Wedding shows and Facebook.

I love food and music! Let's talk about food and music?

Food was an important factor to us as Jordan is a chef. So he designed and wrote the entire evening menu to include all our favourite foods including duck, risotto and caramelized onion mash. Also we had Afternoon Tea with lots of cakes and sweet treats. I walked down the aisle to the Butterfly Waltz.

The wedding team:

Jordan, lets talk about having me (Jamie, from Webb Family Photography) as your photographer ...

How did you find me and why did you decide to hire me as your wedding photographer?:

Through Facebook. After looking through your portfolio we loved the style.

how would you describe your experience of working with me?

Enjoyed every minute of the day. Everything went smoothly from when we first met to receiving the final photos. The extra engagement photo shoot is a lovely touch to get used to the photography.

What were your hesitations when it came to photography?

Neither of us are fans of photos, although this didn't become a factor. we weren't entirely sure how the photos went, what order things happened, when to even ask you to show up ! but this was all easily sorted out swiftly.

What was awesome?

Patience, great with children, always smiling, and invisible when needed ! Always had us be ourselves and never nervous to be about.

What was not so awesome?

10/10 this section has no answer =]

Would you recommend me to others and what would you say to someone who is thinking of working with me?

Definitely ! We will be seeing you soon at our friends. I would tell them if you want the full package, from photos to just the experience, this is where to go.
