Jenna and James, beach engagement photographs at Porthleven.

This couple spoke directly to my heart! They love the beach and they love Disney. I am so excited for them (and a little jealous) as they plan to go to Disneyworld for their honeymoon. Below are some of my favourite photographs of them being their playful selves at Porthleven Beach. I adore them, this beach and this light!

The story of how you first met and fell in love?

We first met in a pub where I worked, James came behind the bar to wash his hands, to which I started shouting at him to get out! (He should have known he was in for a lively lady 😜)
When he turned around, I thought he looked a bit nice and we got chatting from there 😊

One of the things you look forward to in your married life together?

Spending the rest of our lives together. Very important to us at the moment as James hasn't been home since 3rd January except for 1 night!

What are you most excited about on your wedding day?

I can't wait to get all dressed up and see James in his uniform at the end of the aisle.

Describe your vision for your perfect wedding day?

Simple, pretty, lots of laughter, family and friends.

One of your favourite memories together?

We've been together 5 years so there are so many memories! James said his favourite was proposing to me. Mine has got to be watching James chasing a bbq along the sea edge after one of our impromptu bbq teas on the beach.

how do you like to spend your free time together?

We love going to the beach, out for meals and going on holiday. We are both huge Disney fans too!

How is your wedding planning going?

We're getting there but it's difficult with James away in the Navy training at the moment. It does mean I get to do the girly thing and plan, plan, plan to keep myself busy!

What theme or style and personal touches will your wedding have?

Our theme is sort of rustic and family orientated. James dad and brother will be wearing their Scottish kilts as a nod to their heritage. Also, James mum is a brilliant cake maker and has agreed to bake our wedding cake. Also, we are getting married in Gunwalloe church which is right on the beach in a little village I grew up in.

What is one of the things that is super important to you about your wedding day?

The main thing for us is that we show to everyone that we love each other and that all our family and friends are there to celebrate with us.

How are you finding your inspiration?

It's gotta be Pinterest for me! However, I do love magazine's too as I can cut things out for a scrapbook of ideas.

Do you have any advice for others who are planning a wedding?

If there is something you really really want get it booked asap! You'll be suprised how quick the good ones get booked up! Also, always keep an eye out of Facebook competitions and offers as you can win them! I did! :D

Engagement sessions are the perfect way to take away any nerves about having your photo taken on the wedding day.

Want to take me to the beach and let me capture your love?
