Photo Session Info…

When I’m not traveling all over Devon, Cornwall and Beyond to photograph weddings. I love to photograph couples and families in their homes and the great outdoors.

I truly believe that the little, everyday moments should be celebrated just as much as the big ones (like weddings). That’s why I’ll capture you as you really are. No awkward and weird posing, just you guys unapologetically being yourselves.

Printed photos and photos on the wall are the perfect way to show your loved ones how very loved, valued and celebrated they really are! But I know you guys love digital images for social media too. So in my packages (Info on those below) I offer the best of both worlds.

Step One - Scheduling your session

First, you send me an enquiry via my contact page and we’ll arrange a no obligation chat. This so that I can get to know you and learn what is super important to you about your relationship. We do this firstly because it’s fun and secondly, I’ll know exactly how to capture you, so that so that these photos are an authentic representation of your love, connection and personalities.

This chat is where you’ll decide whether or not to book your session. If you do love our chat and you wish to book, YAY imagine me happy dancing (and my kids rolling their eyes at my moves).

To make the booking all official, there’s a digital contract to sign and a non refundable session fee of £250 to pay (£450 if you would like me to make a mini film too) This fee pays for my time, travel and the production of the photos (and video) for you to choose your collection from.

This fee does not include any digital downloads or prints/packages ect. Packages can be purchased after you have seen the photos and they start at £250

Once signed and paid, you are all booked in! Whoop Whoop!

Here are a few things to consider…

• Availability. Weekend dates are very limited (with weddings). I rarely have them available. Many of my clients who work regular business hours, find that by scheduling a weekday early in the morning or late in the afternoon/evening, they're able enjoy a session before or after work. Especially during the longer daylight hours in the summer months.

• The very best light is usually around 1.5 hours before sunset. But I understand that this can be pretty late in the summer! Good light can often be during sun rise. Fun fact, the winter months actually have better light options for good light because the sun rises later and sets earlier. Meaning less early alarms and late nights.

• Fur babies are welcome! Just like with children, Please don’t feel like you have to constantly reprimand them and please don’t worry if they won’t “behave“ I like to keep everything relaxed and natural, so we will capture them at their best and being themselves (The same with you! haha).

• What do we wear? I don’t have strict rules and I’m also no fashion expert. But I do know that It’s super important to look and (even more importantly) feel incredible during your photo session! Feel free to bring a few outfit options. This isn’t a requirement, but definitely encouraged if choosing what to wear starts to feel stressful at all. It will also give you more variety in the photos. In home sessions are great because you have your entire wardrobe with you. If you’re nervous about choosing the right thing, just bring a few outfits that make you feel good. Then we can work together and choose something that blends with the environment and won’t be distracting in photos. My advice is to pick something that makes you feel great and that makes you feel like you! Nothing is really off limits but large logos can be distracting and really the best advice is to dress to match the environment.

• Beautiful photographs can be made in any kind of weather and in your home too. When you book I do encourage you to be prepared to embrace this so and go for it whatever the weather. As we are in England and we can have every single season in one day. Rainy and windy photos can give a more dramatic, carefree and fun vibe to the photos. But I understand that there are some downsides to being photographed in the pouring rain or the freezing cold. I can, and do reschedule sessions for absolutely awful weather, but am also happy to visit you in your home for cosy indoor vibes!

Step 2 - The Session Itself

A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if the forecast is questionable or someone seems to be coming down with something, we can talk about our rescheduling options. I am able to reschedule and move your session over to a new date with no additional charge. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions or let me know if you've come up with a fun idea we haven't discussed.

The day of the session, please block off 1 to 1.5 hours (30-45 mins of shooting and some padding for life things).

Typically we're done within 45 minutes or so, but I don't charge by the hour, so if there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction or child meltdown, or if we are just having so much fun that we forget about time! (This happens alot) I like to stay flexible.

Finally, take a breath and relax... I promise to keep everything as fun, relaxed and painless as possible for everyone involved. My ultimate goal if for you to enjoy this experience as quality time and a celebration of your love for eachother. Not to make it like a big loooooooooong awkward photoshoot.

Please don’t feel like you have to know what to do, or what to be like in front of the camera! I’ll take care of that for you. I want you to just look forward to spending some quality time together. That’s what my sessions are all about!

Don’t worry if your pet won’t behave or your child has a meltdown. I’m very patient and I promise that if we keep calm and let the situation pass, we will still get awesome results. Let the kids be kids, adults be big kids and pets be pets!

Step 3 - The Fun Part!

After your session, I will get to work on culling your images down to the very best of the best (typically between 30-40 images per session. I then upload them onto a beautiful online proofing gallery for you so that you can choose your package. Once they're ready, I'll be in touch to schedule your 24-hour gallery viewing and ordering window.

When you let me know the best 24 hour viewing and ordering window for you, I’ll send the gallery link. You’ll have 24 hours to view the photos as many times as you like and make your final purchase decision.

I encourage you to make an event of it! Queue it up on your tv (you’ll need a hdmi cable for this) or the largest computer screen you have available and gather around. Make sure you are TOGETHER when you see it for the first time (popcorn ready, drinks, tissues for happy tears)... the first time you see your photos is always the best.

There are 3 packages available or there is a monthly print club subscription to choose from. Packages start at £250 and the Print Club subscription is the best thing ever and is only £40 a month for the most positive and uplifting post every month. The subscription also includes every single digital image available for high res download after 12 months and your annual photo session automatically paid for. Once the purchase is made, depending on the collection you choose, you'll have a full month to download the amount of digital images that are included! Once you have downloaded them, I’ll send you the matching prints.
