Shanna and Sam, Childhood sweethearts...
I was so honoured to have been booked to photograph Shanna and Sam's Bickley Mill Inn wedding. This lovely pair were in my year at school. I remembered them as the sweetest couple. When I left Torquay at 16 years old to move in with my own childhood sweetheart (now Mr's Webb, whoop whoop) and study at Plymouth College of Art, I never would have imagined that 12-13 years later, I would receive a phone call from Shanna. Turns out, they are still the sweetest couple, they were planning their wedding and they had been following my work. When they asked me to be their wedding photographer I did a little embarrassing Dad dance. When they told me that their wedding was at the Bickley Mill Inn, I did another one. When they said there would be a barbeque. I did... well you get the idea. I was soooooo happy.
If you have been following my wedding adventures, you may remember Jackie and Mark's Bickley Mill Inn Wedding. This was were I first realised how awesome this wedding venue is! You will see why from the photos but let me just say. If you love all things with a minimalist english country/rustic style. If you just can't quite explain why, but you love an exposed beam as much as I do. If you are looking for a relaxed, fun and informal wedding day where you have everything you need all in one place. The The Bickley Mill Inn has a cosy indoor area, covered outdoor decking and seating area (so you don't need to worry about the weather) a lovely garden for photos (with hundreds of wild bunnies), a place to stay on the night of the wedding, lovely staff and the all important option of a great BBQ. This was such lovely, relaxed, fun and sunny day. Featuring one of my favourite venues, Childhood sweethearts, a ton of confetti (both outside the church and on the dance floor), A nice "actual" toast by Sam's brother, a warm and loving family atmosphere, the obligatory wedding thing, where non-smokers, smoke cigars and a little trip to Thatchers Rock in a classic Mercedes. oh, and not to forget, great BBQ. What an amazing day!
Little shoutout to Sam and Jake at Bespoke Disco. Its the second or third time I have worked alongside them and they are awesome! Always friendly and always smiling, know the staff at the venue, keep the party going all night, geek out with me over cool remixes, brings along their Love lights and light up dancefloor (which look amazing in the Bickley Mill Inn) and as a photo related bonus, they don't shine those green and red spots on the couple during the first dance. I would highly recommend Bespoke Disco for your Devon wedding.
A huge thank you to Shanna and Sam. Thank you to your family and friends too! who are absolutely lovely and welcoming. It was nice to see some faces from school (which are mostly much more hairy than I remember) and nice to realise that everyone got tall (apart from me) I felt like a true guest at your wedding and not just a photographer. for that, I'm so grateful.

Katy and Matt had a super fun and relaxed DIY wedding on Dartmoor. With VW Beetles, speeches that made people ugly cry, a broken bridesmaids dress, a Magician, live music, a homemade bar, Ice cream and pizza vans, a totally dreamy moment where it was raining as the sun came down and we got amazing photos, sticky buns on the dancefloor (yep! haha) and an absolute banger of a party!
