Bridwell Park Estate Wedding Photographer - Becky and Chris's fun Devon wedding

Here is Becky and Chris's Epic and super fun wedding at Bridwell Park Estate. What a day! Sunshine, home grown flowers, sooooooo much confetti, over 100 people attempting "the floss" for a group photo, some of the best food and live music I have ever enjoyed at a wedding (MAHOUSSIVE Shoutout to Smoke Catering, Exe Valley Pizza and The Salvation), smoke bombs, hilarious speeches, a crazy dance floor and a seriously epic bouquet toss (you'll see)

Becky and Chris are one of the most laid back and fun couples I have ever met and I enjoyed every second of their day. Thank you so much Devon, For bringing me the most incredible couples who are getting married at breathtaking venues. I really couldn't be more happy to be a Devon Wedding Photographer if I tried.

Enough rambling from me. I really cant justify how amazing this day was with my dyslexic words. So lets talk to Becky and Chris about their day and then let the photos do the talking...

Your story of how you met and got to this awesome stage in your lives

We met at university, part of the various sports teams on campus. After uni we decided to go travelling for 18 months. We didn't get sick of each other, so we moved to Christchurch on our return, to start our lives together.

What was your favourite part of your wedding?

Everybody dancing all evening to the band, Our guests throwing chris and I up in the air, everyone getting involved in the Greek music.

What made you choose Bridwell Park as your wedding venue?

Mainly the size, but also so that all our guests could stay at the venue for the weekend as well! This way we could prolong the wedding party all weekend

What made you choose the details and theme/styling for your wedding?

We wanted everything really relaxed, we wanted the meal to be different to a usual wedding so went with South American smoked foods. Everything else was really natural, family grew the flowers for centre pieces/bouquets, decorated the church.

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding?

Stay relaxed for all the planning, it’s all fun! Don’t become a bridezilla! Don’t get caught up in the minor details, you will not notice on the day. Make sure you choose what you want!

I love food, music and entertainment They are the some of the best things about weddings! - What food did you have, was it yummy and what did you have to entertain yourselves and your guests?

We chose Smoked caterers from Bristol we had Smoked beef brisket and smoked fillet of salmon with Salads/coleslaw/sweet potato.

It was so tasty, all our guests loved it, even the vegans half way through the meal informed me they are no longer vegans and started tucking in!

Our first dance song was "don’t go breaking my heart" (Elton john) we wanted something upbeat and fun to start the night!

A Shoutout to your wedding suppliers

Thanks to Smoke Catering, the food was unreal! Ex valley pizza for feeding and keeping over 200 people in the evening happy and The Salvation wedding band who had everyone on the dance floor the whole night.

What were you looking for in your photographer, Why on earth did you choose Jamie Webb as your Bridwell Park Wedding photographer and what was it like working with Jamie on the day?

We wanted a photographer that is good at taking natural pictures and being able to blend into the crowd. One of our friends recommended Jamie for his organisation skills when getting groups together, not being disruptive and taking such natural photos! All of which we saw on the day.
Jamie was so helpful on the day, he did not get in the way and was not too in your face with the camera whilst still managing to organise people and get the photos that we wanted!

Thanks so much my lovelies! Now for the photos...
